Why AfricTRIMS Exists
Multiple Sclerosis is no longer rare in Africa. As diagnostic capacity improves across the continent, the true burden of MS is becoming impossible to ignore - yet African patients, clinicians, and researchers remain dramatically underrepresented in global MS research, clinical trials, and treatment guidelines.
AfricTrims was founded to change that. Born from the conviction that African neurologists deserve a unified voice, and African patients deserve world-class care, AfricTrims brings together clinicians, researchers, and patient advocates from across all 54 nations to build the infrastructure, evidence base, and policy influence that MS care in Africa urgently needs.
We are not waiting for the world to include us. We are building our own seat at the table.
